Jeni Port: "Deepest purple hues, all but impenetrable. Dark, deep, brooding and definitely ripe; there's a generosity of flavour on board that is very Heathcote. Dark toasted spices and ripe blackberry and dark plum fruits with mocha-chocolate richness and mineral earthiness. A dense and hearty shiraz from a very good vintage that runs smooth, framed firm in tannin."
